VersaClimber VO2 Max Prediction Assessment Test The VersaClimber can now be used as a VO2 Max prediction test device. Typical testing modalities in the past for VO2 Max prediction has been limited to the treadmill, stepmill, and bike. Study was done at California State University, Fullerton – Fullerton CA The VersaClimber provides a valuable alternative assessment mode for VO2 Max prediction. The prediction equation for estimating VO2 max using the VersaClimber VO2 max = 60.528 -0.154 (KG) + 1.482 (ET)   Protocol   Example for a 70 KG subject: Vo2 max = 60.528 -0.154 (70 KG) + 1.482 ( ET) KG = Body weight in KG (lbs conversion to KG is lbs divided by 2.2) ET = Exercise time to fatigue ( enter time in decimal ) *see #2 under Critical for Validity Protocol - example for 70kg subject  /  3 minute warm up Keep step height at a 12” step ( watch electronics) 2 minutes 40 ft./ minute = (52.7 VO2) 2 minutes 60 ft./ minute = 55.66 VO2 2 minutes 80 ft. / minute = 58.63 VO2 2 minutes 100 ft./ minute = 61.00 VO2 2 minutes 120 ft. / minute = 64.56 VO2 Critical for validity: 1.
